Mental health and learning disabilities care

 

The Hollies Care Home is a large rambling Georgian building set in six acres of land, one and a half miles from the town of Long Stratton in the small village of Morningthorpe. The Hollies provides dedicated, compassionate and personalised care for adults with mental health needs. The property has over forty rooms, consisting of twenty-six single bedrooms, five reception rooms, and two kitchens.

 

The residents have access to multiple communal spaces including lounges, dining rooms, a conservatory, games room, playstation room and small well-stocked library. Several activates are held weekly and geared toward fulfilled independent living. Residents can enjoy shopping trips to local towns, Cinema visits, and Arts and Crafts, creative writing and music workshops. Residents have full access to large beautifully landscaped gardens (divided into formal gardens, a small copse, and a newly planted wood) where residents can walk, garden, or in the summer months enjoy picnics or barbecues.

 

We have recently developed a dedicated unit for 4 individuals to provide facilities for rehabilitation. This is the ideal environment for residents recovering from acute mental health problems. The tranquil landscaped gardens and sprawling peaceful countryside are suitable for relaxation and reflection. We have a dedicated state of the art kitchen for fully guided therapeutic cooking and baking lessons.
